The End of an Era

Closing down the shop this morning was a bag of mixed emotions.  I enjoy the designing process and threw my heart and soul into it, but I never enjoyed the details of marketing for sales.  Of course to have one, you need the other in business and without my loyal customers, it would have all been for naught.  So I want to thank all of you for being there to support me throughout the previous years.
The next adventure for me is to work with water media.  Which includes not only watercolors but any mixed media wet materials.  Acrylics, crayons, metallics, pencils, etc.  I will be offering self-paced, on-line workshops via my other blog: HandsOnWaterMedia  I will also be posting some free videos of fun, fast techniques for creating some interesting watercolor backgrounds and other projects along the way.  If you are interested in mixed media, you may want to sign up to follow this blog via e-mail.
I feel I have come full circle in my artistic pursuits and finally returning to what I love, painting in all forms.  I am working towards incorporating my local contacts as well as on-line friends to bring everyone some new adventurous fun.  My pursuits will also include some art competitions in the coming years, which gives me a boost of excitement to develop new techniques by bringing together the mixed media techniques with wet media styles.  It's all interchangeable and works well together.  My first series will be in the masters style of "Paul Cezanne's" portraits.  Beautiful, compelling and exceptionally relaxing throughout the processes.
Here is a sample of a work in progress:  "Three Circles of Light"

I hope you will continue to support my endeavors and have some fun with me, along the way.  I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.  :-D
